TOLUOL SYNTHESIS
Petoleum toluene is synthesized by two ways: catalytic reforming of fractions of gasoline or pyrolis oil products. This substance is also known as methylbenzene, phenylmethane, toluene. Externally it represents colourless liquid with pungent smell reminding benzene smell.

USE OF TOLUOL
Petroleum toluene is applied in many industries, mainly in petrochemical and paint and varnish ones.
As it is not dissolved in water, but thus it is well dissolved in organic substances, it use as solvent of the most various paints and varnishes.
The product is used as raw materials during the production of nitrotoluene, benzene, benzoic acid. It got the greatest distribution as a high-octane additive for auto fuels.
